Famous Italian shoemaker Amedeo Testoni released a pair of $38,000 alligator skin men’s shoes in 2010. Not for the animal-friendly customer, these shoes are both highly durable and waterproof, as well as being in the luxury flamboyant class of footwear. Created by Amedeo Testoni in 1929, the Testoni brand, established in the heart of shoemaking, Bologna, is known for high-quality craftsmanship and is positioned to target the man who is a true connoisseur of luxury shoes. Testoni also created boots for none other than Sophia Loren, Italy´s famous twentieth-century actress, and Hollywood´s Goldie Hawn. A mere eight years after the world´s most expensive shoes were sold, the brand was bought in 2018 by Sitoy International Ltd, a Hong Kong-based manufacturer of handbags and travel goods. The legacy of fine Italian shoemaking continues.
