King Charles III, in right of the British Crown, owns this Neoclassical-style Palace, valued as the most expensive home in the world at $4.9 billion. Located in central London between Mayfair and Belgravia and near Hyde Park, The Palace was synonymous with the late Queen Elizabeth II who reigned for more than 70 years. It is highly unlikely to be on the market in the foreseeable future as it is the current British Royal Family´s home, and the administrative headquarters of the monarch of the United Kingdom, and that institution is very much alive. Buckingham Palace contains a massive number of rooms— 775 of them, including 92 offices, 19 staterooms, and 78 bathrooms. It is said by some that a few other secret rooms can be found on the premises too! It is open to the public for guided tours. This huge luxury mansion in central London is spread over around 77,000 square meters. The building at the core of today’s palace was the Duke of Buckingham´s large townhouse built in 1703. Buckingham Palace became the London home of the British monarch when Queen Victoria was crowned in 1837. The Palace also has a doctor’s surgery, cinema, post office, swimming pool, and jeweler’s workshop.
